UniMentor
Be connected with a current student who’ll help you navigate life at uni.
Whether you’ve come from overseas, a regional location or simply down the road, we can link you with a UniMentor before your first day.
UniMentor is not exclusive to commencing students, so even if you’ve started your course but are feeling unsettled, we can help you out.
If you would like a mentor, register your interest below.
-
Why have a UniMentor?
-
How a UniMentor can help
- Get inside info on how things happen around uni and within your faculty
- Gain knowledge from a more experienced student who has ‘been there, done that’
- Meet other new students in your course
- Have a point of contact for questions or problems
- Participate in social activities, events and excursions
Your UniMentor will be a student in their second year or above, studying the same or a similar course.
They can introduce you to other students, provide details on life at UWA and link you with services and support to help you settle into your studies.
In most cases, students and mentors maintain contact until the end of your first semester or until a point when you feel you are settled.
If you’re unable to attend Orientation or are a PhD student arriving outside regular semester start dates, we can still connect you with a mentor to ensure your smooth transition.
