Accredited Mental Health Service
The University of Western Australia has achieved professional accreditation for its unique approach to mental health and wellbeing services, making it one of the first programs of its kind to be endorsed in Australia.
Accredited by Quality Innovation Performance (QIP) against the National Standards for Mental Health Services.
Chair of the Young Lives Matter Foundation, Mr Ronald W. Woss AM, first came up with the idea for The Living Room, imagining a space that could promote, support and sustain positive mental health and wellbeing, while addressing common stressors for students and facilitating timely connection to services at times of adversity.
The Young Lives Matter Foundation is one of UWAs flagship mental health projects, spanning the research, education and community engagement portfolios. Their primary objective is to utilise data, evidence and lived experience to advance the welfare of our community.
The Living Room has been supported by a grant from Lotterywest and Local Drug Action Groups (Inc).
