The University of Western Australia ('the University') provides a fee discount scholarship to encourage and assist international students who are high-achieving athletes, coaches and officials to commence and pursue an undergraduate or postgraduate qualification at the University.

Eligibility
You will need to:
a) be a citizen of one of the eligible countries
b) demonstrate a high level of sporting achievement
c) have received an offer for an undergraduate or postgraduate course at The University of Western Australia
d) have achieved an equivalent of ATAR of 85.00 – 98.00+; or WAM of 65.00 – 85.00+
You don’t need to complete scholarship application and you will automatically be assessed for eligibility and notified if successful in your letter of offer from UWA. UWA expects to award approximately 650 Global Excellence Scholarships in 2024.

Benefits
The Scholarship is an annual tuition fee discount for the normal full-time duration of the awardee’s course as specified in their letter of offer. The value of the Scholarship is determined by the applicant’s equivalent Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) or UWA weighted average mark (WAM), and demonstrated sporting acheivement.
