UWA has an extraordinary heritage in Sports and Exercise Sciences. Our graduates occupy a diverse range of influential senior positions in professional sporting organisations (e.g. New York Yankees) and influential leadership roles in Government departments. Our school has played a key role in establishing the AIS, WAIS and other academies of sport worldwide. We also pioneered exercise physiology as an allied health profession, with our graduates working in public hospitals, positions in the health industry, disability support, community and workplace programs, education, and research — making significant contributions to global health across different sectors.
