
Swim squads
The UWA Aquatic Centre offers a range of squads that allow swimmers the opportunity to progress their skills in a friendly and challenging environment.
Swim year-round with no hassle for $15 per session + $25 one-off joining fee, or book your 10 weeks of swimming aligned with the school term for $150 upfront.
Squads for kids and teens
Term 2: Monday 24 April - Thursday 29 June 2023
Help your kids stay active while developing their swim technique in a friendly and welcoming environment! Participation in swimming squads complements participation in other sports, with a focus on improving your child's fitness, endurance, and lifesaving skills. In the summer months, we also focus on speed and racing skills to help young swimmers perform their best in their school swimming carnivals.
Pay for the 10-week term upfront for $150, or swim year-round for $15 per session plus a $25 one-off administration fee.
Sessions are not held on public holidays. Please note that Saturday sessions are no longer available.

AquaFit
Swimmers in AquaFit will focus on developing stroke technique, fitness, and squad skills.
- Suitable for swimmers 8 to 12 years of age
- 1 hour session
- 1km-2km per session

TeenFit
Swimmers in TeenFit will focus on maintaining technique and building endurance in a friendly environment. The main aim is to improve fitness, technique and gain lifesaving skills. This squad is complimentary to swimmers participating in other sporting pursuits.

- 1 hour session
- 1.5-3km per session

Challengefit
Swimmers in ChallengeFit will focus on improving speed and endurance while maintaining techniquee. This squad is complimentary to people with past squad experience as well as swimmers competitive in other sporting pursuits.
- Suitable for swimmers 12 to 18 years of age
- 1 hour 30 minute session
- 2.5-4km per session

Stingrays
The Stingrays program is offered to swimmers 12 years and above. This program focuses on fitness and swimming skills for swimmers with diverse abilities, available on Saturday mornings at the UWA Aquatic Centre. This program is designed to be flexible and provide swimmers with a positive swimming experience.

Squads for adults

UWA Student swim squad
The UWA Student Swim Squad is the perfect way to have fun and get fit while hanging out with your friends. The one hour sessions will work on improving your technique and endurance in all strokes and aim to swim 2–3km in a session.

- Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 7am-8am
- $275 for 3 sessions per week for 13 weeks

Swimfit 16+
Improve your fitness in the water! SwimFit is open to any swimmer who can swim at least 200m continual Freestyle with reasonable technique and does not require too much stroke correction in breaststroke or backstroke. The squad caters for swimmers who are working towards swimming between 1 and 3 km in an hour and are swimming for fitness, fun, or training for introductory triathlons
Session times:
- Tuesday/Thursday morning 9-10am
- Tuesday/ Thursday evening 6-7pm

Endurofit 16+
Improve your fitness, strength and endurance! The 1.5 hour EnduroFit program is for swimmers who would like to challenge themselves in an aquatic environment. With focus on swimming technique and fitness, this program is suitable for open water, triathlon and masters swimmers who are able to swim more than 3 km in a session.
Session times:
- Monday/Wednesday/Friday, 5.30am-7am
- Saturday 6:15am-7:45am
Swim all year round for $15 per session ($18 on Saturdays) + $25 joining fee, or pay upfront for the term.
