In partnership with the UWA Student Guild, the UWA Maali Spirit Dance Team will be an inaugural team that will compete in the POMS league.
Poms Dance League is a dance-focused team with high-energy routines that blends precision, power and pom-poms. Distinct from traditional cheerleading, Poms centres on sharp jazz technique, clean lines and strong kick-lines, all brought to life with synchronised pom-pom choreography.
Designed for dancers who love performance and teamwork, the league delivers dynamic routines for halftime showcases and competitions. Expect fast-paced, visually striking performances that emphasise musicality, precision and collective impact where every move hits together and energy is everything.
