Enjoy sport in a welcoming and inclusive environment where you can have fun, make new friends and be active. All activities are free for students enrolled at UWA, UWA CELT or UWA College.

First Year Students
Stand-Up Paddleboard Experience
These beginner Stand Up Paddle Board sessions are for those who have never SUPed before, or who have only been out on the water a couple of times. This course will take you through the basics of stand up paddle boarding including paddling, standing up on your board and launching your board.
All participants must be able to confidently swim at least 50m. Still developing your water confidence? Our Water Awareness Program is the perfect place to begin.

All Abilities
Wheelchair Football
UWA Sport will host a come and try Wheelchair Football competition. An exciting opportunity for students to try a new sport and is open to all students and all skill levels. This event is in partnership with the West Australian All Abilities Football Association (WAAAFA).

International Students
Introduction to Cycling Course
These introductory group sessions are an opportunity for current UWA students to learn how to cycle and discovering the landscape around the Derbarl Yerrigan (Swan River) and the scenic surroundings of UWA. These sessions are suitable for beginner and intermediate riders who are seeking to gain confidence in learning how to cycle.
The ride, led by UWA Sport staff, will give you the chance to meet other students and get active before classes or on your day off.
Bikes and helmets are available to use, or you are more than welcome to bring your own equipment. Please wear closed-in shoes and appropriate sporting attire.Stay tuned for the registration link.

Take part in a social game of cricket, meet fellow International students, enjoy some refreshments and create lasting memories. Open to all skill levels, this event is free for international students with all necessary equipment provided.

LGBTQIA Students
Weightlifting Workshops
These workshops are free and designed for LGBTQIA+ students enrolled at UWA, open to all experience levels. Get the opportunity to learn and practice in a environment with fellow LGBTQIA+ students. During the workshops, our staff will guide you through the basics of lifting, so no prior experience is necessary. Please bring a gym towel and water bottle.

Reformer Pilates
These introductory Reformer Pilates classes are designed for LGBTQIA+ students enrolled at UWA and are open to all experience levels. These classes provide an opportunity to learn and experience Reformer Pilates in a environment with fellow LGBTQIA+ students.
During the classes, our staff will guide you through the basics of using the Reformer beds and equipment, so no prior experience is necessary. Please bring a gym towel, water bottle and grippy socks.

Women and Non-Binary
Weightlifting Workshops
An experience exclusively for female and non binary students enrolled at UWA. These workshops are free and designed for Female and Non Binary students enrolled at UWA, open to all experience levels.
They are an opportunity to learn and practice in a safe environment. During the workshops, our staff will guide you through the basics of lifting, so no prior experience is necessary. Please bring a gym towel and water bottle. Please bring a gym towel and water bottle.
This event is a woman and non-binary focused event. We are welcoming and respectful of all women and gender diverse people, including trans woman, those who are non-binary, gender non-conforming, and anyone who identifies as a woman or non-binary in a way that is significant to them.
