Genuine Student Evaluation Form
As an international student applying for a student visa to study at UWA, you are required to demonstrate your eligibility to the Department of Home Affairs of your intention to remain in Australia temporarily.
The Genuine Student (GS) requirement must be satisfied by students coming to study at UWA to ensure the student visa program is not being used as a way for international students to maintain ongoing residence in Australia.
Step 1: Fill in the form
- This form should be filled in and submitted by the student applying to UWA. All questions must be answered honestly and in full. Failure to do so may render your application to UWA invalid.
- Typing the form is permitted, provided the form is hand signed by the appropriate parties.

Step 2: Submit the form
Scan all pages of the hand-signed form and submit to [email protected].
Step 3: Await a response from UWA
A UWA staff member will be in touch regarding the outcome of your form's assessment. An in-person or video interview may be conducted if further information is required regarding your form.
