The Law and Society major offers an insight into what law is all about. The units are engaging and interesting where tutors and lecturers give their firsthand experiences into their previous careers and the law profession. I chose the Law and Society major as my first preference because I have always been interested in the justice system and from watching crime shows a lot as a child. After completing my undergraduate degree, I hope to study the postgraduate Juris Doctor to attain the qualifications I need to become a lawyer. Marwat, Bachelor of Arts (Law and Society) student
Studying Business Law provided valuable insight into the legal aspects of running a company while offering diverse employment opportunities in various fields. The supportive environment and student life were incredibly valuable throughout my studies and I’ve had internship opportunities in the areas of advisory, contracts and procurement. Julia, Bachelor of Commerce (Business Law) graduate
UWA is renowned as being one of the top universities in Australia, and the UWA Law School has a strong history of legal education with acclaimed teaching and research staff and has produced notable and highly regarded legal practitioners throughout the years.
More importantly, despite its prestige and size, UWA provides a tailored education and maintains a strong link with its students. Given the demanding and complex nature of the Juris Doctor program, this strong emphasis towards student wellbeing and catering towards various needs and interests has been very welcoming and places emphasis on the commitment UWA has towards its students.
