Combined bachelor's and master's degrees

This accelerated pathway will see you graduate with both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in only four years, so you can enter the workforce sooner. During your first three years, you’ll complete two majors in your chosen field and a semester of more advanced study. In your final year, you’ll complete postgraduate units. You’ll also have the option of exiting after three years; in this case, you’ll graduate with an advanced bachelor’s degree in your chosen study area.

Frequently asked questions

What are the changes to broadening units?

There is now a new, simpler way to meet your broadening requirements. You are only required to complete 24 credit points (normally four standard units) from outside your degree-specific major. There is no longer a requirement to meet the Category A or Category B broadening requirements that have previously existed.

Will new course changes affect my degree?

No, any planned course changes won’t impact your current course and progression to graduation. Your current course rules will continue to apply unless you choose to apply and transfer to a new course.

Who do I contact for more information?

Your student advising office will be able to provide tailored advice about the new courses and the process for transferring to a new course, should you wish to.
