UWA Physics Common Room

A study and social hub for Physics students

Located on level two of the Physics Building, Room 219 houses the newly renovated UWA Physics Common Room. The room is a central space for study and relaxation for Physics students at UWA.

It’s managed by the University Physics Society (UPS), a student-run and Guild-affiliated club. The room features a spacious environment with seven Mac computers and kitchen facilities.

To complement the use and character of the room, UPS offers affordable food, snacks, ice-cream and soft drinks from its fridge and freezer. UPS also provides the use of its small library consisting of the central textbooks used in UWA Physics courses, and its moderate board game collection, mostly used for fortnightly organised board game nights. The new ping-pong table is a popular feature of the room and was generously gifted by the Department of Physics.
