The University of Western Australia is offering 10%* off tuition fees for students from selected countries. The International Student Award promotes a diverse student community and helps more students from around the world achieve their study and career goals at UWA.

If you’re looking to start studying in 2027, you could receive 10%* off your tuition fees for the entire duration of your eligible undergraduate or postgraduate course. 

  • $20k

    Up to AUD $20,000*

    off course fees over four years for undergraduates commencing eligible courses in 2026.

  • $15k

    Up to AUD $15,000*

    off course fees over three years for undergraduates commencing eligible courses in 2026.

  • $10k

    Up to AUD $10,000*

    off course fees over two years for postgraduates commencing eligible courses in 2026.

General eligibility 

To be eligible for the International Student Award, you will need to:

  • Be a citizen from Argentina, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, China, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras,  India, Kenya, Maldives, Mexico, Nepal, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Sri Lanka, Uruguay, Venezuela  
  • Be applying to The University of Western Australia as an international student on an Australian student visa
  • Study an eligible undergraduate or postgraduate course offered by the University and published in the UWA Handbook
  • Be enrolled to study a full-time course load

How to apply

When you submit your application to UWA, our Admissions team will automatically assess your eligibility for the Award. If you are eligible, your offer letter will include the International Student Award.
