Apply early with UWA’s Early Offer program and secure your place before your final year of high school. You'll also get connected to our support services sooner, making your move from high school to university smoother and easier.
You’re eligible for an early offer if you’re a Year 12 student in WA completing WACE, an international student completing WACE at a WA school or a WA student completing the International Baccalaureate program.
You’ll need to achieve a Predicted ATAR of at least 70.00.
Your Predicted ATAR is calculated by TISC based on your Year 11 results to estimate your final ATAR. By predicting your results, we have an idea of where you will sit at the end of Year 12 so we can process your application early. A standardised model is used for equity amongst all WA students and may differ from your school’s predicted ATAR calculation.
If you do not satisfy UWA's minimum entry requirements, you can consider applying for Experience-based entry, one of UWA’s Pathway Programs, or taking the Special Tertiary Admissions Test (STAT).
Even if you are not taking enough ATAR subjects to enter university (or not taking ATAR at all), you can still apply to UWA through Experience-based entry or the Special Tertiary Admissions Test (STAT). Year 12 students completing VET qualifications are also eligible for these pathways.
In addition, UWA now offers a range of Pathway Programs designed to help you transition into university study. These programs provide alternative entry routes and academic preparation, allowing you to build the skills and knowledge needed for your studies at UWA.
Early Offers are available for all courses at UWA except for Assured Pathways to Medicine, Dental Medicine, and Podiatric Medicine, the Bachelor of Biomedicine (Specialised), or the Bachelor of Nursing (Honours). If you wish to apply for these courses, apply via TISC and keep up to date with our Health and Biomedical Sciences webpage.
To receive an early offer, you must achieve a Predicted ATAR equivalent to the required ATAR for your course. If you are attending a Broadway school, or are eligible under our Fairway, First in Family, or Indigenous Entry scheme, you may have your Predicted ATAR adjusted.
Your early offer is conditional on meeting the University’s English Language Competence requirement, which can be met by either:
Prerequisites can be satisfied through completion of the relevant Year 12 WACE ATAR subjects or by completing UWA’s bridging units during your first semester. In certain instances, such as with Engineering, if you have not satisfied prerequisite requirements you will need to commence in an alternative course before transferring, subject to meeting course transfer requirements.
Create an account with TISC using your personal email address (not your school email as you may not have access after high school) and start your application using the TISC Applying Online Guide. Save your application at any time and go back and add information later.
Early Offers are available to International Students who are completing WACE at a school in Western Australia. International students completing WACE overseas can apply direct to UWA to be considered for a standard offer.
You can add up to six preferences. We suggest using these preferences to keep your options open and apply for a range of UWA courses with different entry requirements.
We will contact you at the next TISC offer round. If you are eligible, you will receive an early offer. Check the TISC website for important dates.
Yes, Early Offers can be deferred up to one year.
After you have deferred your Early Offer, you'll hear more from us after ATAR results are released in December. If you have met the conditions of your Early Offer, you will receive a new offer before the commencement of your course. If you have deferred your offer, you'll hear from us around May next year.
To be considered for a new course, you can re-arrange your preferences in TISC. However, ensure you are aware of the TISC closing dates.
Your Early Offer is only valid if the UWA course stays as your first preference on TISC.
If you move it lower in your preferences, your Early Offer will no longer be valid.
If you change your first preference to a different UWA course, you may receive a new offer at the next offer round, which will replace your original one.
Predicted ATARs are only used for the Early Offer process. If your ATAR ends up lower than predicted, your Early Offer can still be valid as long as you’ve met the conditions of your offer (for example, sitting your ATAR exams and completing WACE). Always check your letter of offer carefully, as it will spell out the exact requirements you need to meet.
Early Offers are only available to Year 12 students in WA.
