Explore our range of Master of Professional Accounting courses and specialisations, and launch your career with a world top 100 university (QS, 2026).
UWA offers three distinct Master of Professional Accounting specialisations: Chartered Accounting (CA), Accounting Practice and Accounting Research. Whether you’re looking to fast-track your progression towards becoming a Chartered Accountant, gain hands-on experience for industry success, or develop advanced research skills for future PhD study, our specialisations are designed to help you achieve your goals. As part of Australia’s prestigious Group of Eight (Go8), we offer globally recognised qualifications, strong industry connections, and flexible study options to help launch your career.
The Master of Professional Accounting (Chartered Accounting) is a unique dual qualification that enables you to complete both the Master of Professional Accounting and the prestigious Chartered Accountants (CA) program concurrently. This accelerated pathway not only streamlines your study but enables you to save up to two years compared to completing the two programs separately (CA ANZ).
The Accounting Practice specialisation, offered through the Master of Professional Accounting, provides a comprehensive foundation in essential accounting concepts, principles and applications. Designed to equip you with the advanced theoretical and technical knowledge required for success in a range of business contexts, this specialisation develops the analytical, problem-solving and communication skills needed to interpret, evaluate and present accounting information with confidence and clarity.
The Accounting Research specialisation, offered through the Master of Professional Accounting, provides a strong foundation in key accounting concepts and practices, while developing advanced research capabilities.
This specialisation will strengthen both your technical accounting expertise and research skills, and provides a valuable pathway to a higher degree by research or PhD.
