Domestic Student Fees

For Commonwealth-supported places, student contribution amounts are charged by unit, based on area of study. For a fee estimate, go to the Fee Calculator and select “I want to price my units”. Scholarships

Careers and further study

Career Pathways

A major in Landscape Architecture provides a wide range of employment options including working as a landscape architect, environmental consultant, urban designer, landscape architectural draftsperson, an environmental manager, a government policy adviser, a landscape architecture educator or academic. Work is available in landscape architectural or urban design practices, city and regional planning, land development companies, conservation agencies and higher education.

Further Study

Students who complete a Landscape Architecture major to a high enough standard can opt to complete the Master of Landscape Architecture. Completion of a Landscape Architecture major to a high enough standard can also lead to further studies in a postgraduate Urban Design course (Master's, Graduate Diploma or Graduate Certificate), Master of Architecture (requires additional conversion units), Building Information Modelling (Master's or Graduate Diploma), or a Graduate Certificate in Architectural Conservation.

Admission requirements

To be considered for this course you need to: 

  • achieve a minimum ATAR of 80
  • demonstrate English language competence - applicants presenting with IELTS Academic require an overall score of at least 6.5 and no band less than 6.0
  • satisfy any prerequisites for your preferred majors (refer to individual major descriptions for prerequisite details)

About the Bachelor of Landscape Architecture (Honours)

The Bachelor of Landscape Architecture (Honours) is the only course of its kind in WA. This course will provide you with methods of understanding landscapes, ecology and community by learning to design and plan for dynamic and resilient environments through critical thinking.
