The Chinese University of Hong Kong

Founded in 1963, The Chinese University of Hong Kong is a forward-looking comprehensive research university with a global vision and a mission to combine tradition with modernity, and to bring together China and the West. Teachers and students hail from all around the world, and it has a total of 61 departments under the faculties of arts, business administration, education, engineering, law, medicine, science, and social science. "The most rewarding aspect of studying abroad was the life skills I gained. I am a much more confident person and am more independent. It's very liberating to live on your own in a foreign city. Being able to meet people from all over the world was definitely an amazing part of the experience and I have made some really good friends along the way. I thoroughly enjoyed the classes VU offered and I learnt things I would never get the opportunity to back home. As a History of Art student, I took a course where we went to a different museum every week and had the opportunity to speak to the curators.
