“I am pleased to welcome you to the University of Western Australia and to the Centre for English Language Teaching (UWA CELT). The Centre is a community of staff and students from more than 70 countries across the world, including North and South Asia, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America. While you are here you will improve your English ability so that you can communicate in English clearly, correctly and with confidence. We are keen to make your stay at UWA CELT enjoyable in the hope that when you leave UWA you will have made lifelong friends, created many memories, and have a sense of purpose and curiosity that will empower you to make a difference in the world.”
