This micro-credential will provide students with a background in psychology, speech pathology, social work, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, nursing, medicine and other relevant disciplines with an opportunity to receive group supervision on Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) cases.
This micro-credential is suited to clinicians who have had prior FASD training, and have a current FASD caseload.

Effort- This micro-credential will have three (3) x 2 hour online peer group supervision sessions across the course, and students are expected to deliver a Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) case presentation at one of the sessions. Students are also expected to submit two short logbook summaries of FASD cases, which will be assessing the students ability to develop appropriate FASD case formulations and recommendations.

Why study this course?
Students completing this micro-credential will receive online group peer supervision led and moderated by Clinical Psychologist and Neuropsychologist A/Prof Carmela Pestell and Clinical Psychologist (Registrar) Dr Kirsten Panton. Through supervision, students will have an opportunity to discuss the complexities involved Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) assessment and diagnosis with other passionate health professionals, and according to current diagnostic guidelines.
Who should study this course?

Individuals entering this course will be expected to have:
- A bachelor's, postgraduate degree or equivalent in speech pathology, social work, occupational therapy, physiotherapy,
nursing or medicine, as recognised by UWA; or - An accredited bachelor's honours degree in psychology, or an equivalent qualification, as recognised by UWA; and
- Registration with the professional body of the relevant specialisation, as recognised by UWA
Recommended prior knowledge
- Completed the Graduate Certificate in the Diagnosis and
Assessment of Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (cc: 73260); or - Micro-credential on History and Basic Characteristics of Fetal
Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (PSYCM501); or - Micro-credential on Considerations for Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder diagnosis (PSYCM502); or
- Completed other relevant prior FASD studies
