Internationally revered hydrogeologist Paul Whincup has donated funds to The University of Western Australia (UWA) to establish a fund in perpetuity to provide scholarships to assist and encourage the study of hydrogeology at UWA. Whilst undertaking their Master of Hydrogeology at UWA recipients are encouraged to undertake hydrogeology field excursions and participate in professional activity to support employment in hydrogeology, as well as to become members of the International Association of Hydrogeologists.

Eligibility
To be eligible to apply for the scholarship, an applicant
must—
(a) be enrolling in their first semester of the Master of
Hydrogeology
1. The scholarship must be taken up in the semester for
which it is awarded.
2. To be eligible to take up the scholarship, an awardee
must be enrolled—
(a) full-time unless the selection body is satisfied that
there are exceptional circumstances* which preclude fulltime enrolment; and
(b) in the Master of Hydrogeology course.
*Exceptional circumstances include, but are not limited to, a medical condition
or major family commitments
