The University of Western Australia ('the University') provides scholarships to assist and encourage high-performing student-athletes to pursue an undergraduate qualification at the University and realise their dual career focus.

Eligibility
To be eligible to apply for the scholarship, an applicant must—
(a) be a domestic student;
(b) be a commencing student (or have at least three years of study remaining at their current study rate);
(c) qualify for the UWA Student Athlete Development Program (SADP) as an elite or emerging tier athlete; and
(d) be enrolled, or eligible to enrol in an undergraduate degree course at the University.
An Elite athlete is classed a—
• Open Age World Championships team;
• Olympic/Commonwealth Games/World Cup Team;
• World University Games;
• Starting line-up of a professional team;
• World University Championships;
• Senior International Representation.
An Emerging athlete is classed a—
• State Team Representation at the open level (providing the nominated sport has no professional league);
• WAIS squad member/scholarship holder;
• National underage team member;
• National League team player/professional club player squad member.
Applicants need to provide a letter of support from their relevant sporting body (or sporting organisation if not able to be obtained by the sporting body). The letter must confirm current representation level as well as highlight any recent sporting achievements achieved.
