Eligibility
To be eligible to apply for the scholarship, an applicant must—
(a) demonstrate—
(i) an understanding of the importance of female education;
(ii) a passion for teaching;
(b) be enrolled, or eligible to enrol—
(i) full-time unless the selection body is satisfied that there are exceptional circumstances *2 which preclude full-time enrolment;
(ii) in the penultimate semester of study during the normal duration of the scholarship; and
(iii) in a Master of Teaching with a teaching area in English, humanities, Mathematics and/or Science or;
(v) in a Bachelor of Science and Master of Teaching (Secondary) combined degree with a teaching area in Mathematics and/or Science or;
(vi) in a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Teaching (Secondary) combined degree with a teaching area in English or Humanities or;
(vii) in a Bachelor of Education (Primary) (Honours).
*2 Exceptional circumstances include, but are not limited to, a medical condition or major family commitments.
Application Information:
1. Applications must include a written statement (up to 300 words) addressing eligibility criteria as stated above;
(i) an understanding of the importance of female education;
(ii) a passion for teaching;
2. Applications will be shortlisted for an interview.
