Rio Tinto Pty Ltd has donated funds to The University of Western Australia ('the University') to encourage and assist high-achieving students to complete an eligible Bachelor's degree course and/or commence and pursue an eligible Master's degree course at the University in career-focused fields.

Eligibility
Eligible candidates are automatically considered for the scholarship and do not need to submit an application.
To be eligible to be considered for the scholarship, an applicant must—
(a) be enrolling in the second or third year (completed at least 48 points) of an eligible undergraduate course listed in schedule 1; or
(b) be commencing or enrolled in the first year of an eligible postgraduate course listed in schedule 1.

Recipients may be invited to participate in the Rio Tinto vacation program over the summer break.
