PERTH EYE FOUNDATION INDIGENOUS OPTOMETRY SCHOLARSHIP

COURSEWORK

Perth Eye Foundation is an Australian charity dedicated to fostering knowledge and giving sight. This scholarship aims to provide opportunities to Indigenous eye health professionals by providing financial support and professional development opportunities to Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander students enrolled in the Doctor of Optometry course.

Eligibility

This scholarship is auto-awarded and you will not need to apply. The successful student will be notified.

To be eligible for the scholarship, an applicant must—
(a) be an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander student;
(b) be Commencing or continuing the Doctor of Optometry course;
(c) be enrolled full-time unless the selection body is satisfied that there are exceptional circumstances which preclude full-time enrolment

This scholarship covers general expenses up to $7500 a year and can cover $2500 for skill development/reimbursement of professional development expenses. Receipts will need to be provided for the latter.
