MERLE KELL DUNLOP CLINICAL BIOCHEMISTRY RESEARCH AWARD

Ms Merle Smith has donated fund to The University of Western Australia ('the University') to provide a scholarship to encourage and assist high achieving students enrolled in a Master of Biotechnology or Master of Clinical Pathology to undertake a research project in the area of clinical biochemistry.

Eligibility

To be eligible to apply for the scholarship, an applicant must be enrolled, or eligible to enrol—
(a) in research project units intending to undertake a research project focusing on physiological or disease pathways that utilises a biochemical test using a biofluid or tissues from human or animal model to study physiological or disease pathways; and
(c) in the—
(i) Master of Biomedical Science (71520) specialising in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology;
(ii) in the Master of Clinical Pathology (92510) specialising in Clinical Biochemistry; or
(iii) in the Master of Biotechnology (71580).

Relevant research project units are—
• MSCI5560; MSCI5561; MSCI5562; MSCI5563 for Master of Biomedical Science.
• PATH5113; PATH5114; PATH5115; PATH5116 for Clinical Pathology
• SCIE5571; SCIE5572; SCIE5573; SCIE5574 for Master of Biotechnology
