JAMES AND JOHN TREVELYAN MASTER'S TRAVEL GRANT

COURSEWORK

Professor Samina Yasmeen and Professor James Trevelyan have donated funds to The University of Western Australia ('the University') to provide a travel grant to assist and encourage a master's student to pursue interdisciplinary research in the area of Muslim States and Societies at the University and to build a community of scholars in this field through an affiliation with the Centre for Muslim States and Societies (CMSS).

Eligibility

To be eligible to apply for a scholarship, an applicant must—
(a) be enrolled, or eligible to enrol—
(i) full-time unless the selection panel is satisfied that there are exceptional circumstances1 which preclude full-time enrolment; and
(ii) in a master’s degree by coursework;
(b) be undertaking a research project relevant to Muslim states and communities in the Indian Ocean region; and
(c) reasonably expect to undertake travel as part of the research project.
