Dr Jones' daughter, Ms Sarah Beshar, and the Beshar family have donated funds to The University of Western Australia (`the University') to provide a scholarship in honour of Sarah's mother, Dr June Jones AM, to encourage and assist a female student who is experiencing educational disadvantage to undertake a Bachelor of Education (Primary) (Honours) or a Master of Teaching (Secondary) at the University. The Centenary Trust for Women has provided additional funding to endow the scholarship in honour of Dr June Jones in recognition of services to the University and the Centenary Trust for Women by Dr Jones.

Eligibility
To be eligible to apply for a scholarship, an applicant must be—
(a) An Australian Citizen;
(b) female;
(c) enrolled, or eligible to enrol—
(i) full-time, unless the Coursework Scholarships Committee is satisfied that there are exceptional circumstances1 which preclude full-time enrolment; and
(ii) completed 96 credit points of the Bachelor of Education (Primary) (Honours) or the combined Bachelor of Science and Master of Teaching (Secondary) degree, or;
(iii) In the first semester of the Master of Teaching (Secondary).
