Buurabalayji Thalanyji Aboriginal Corporation have donated funds to the University of Western Australia (`the University') to assist and encourage a high-achieving student to pursue a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) majoring in Archaeology at the University.

Eligibility
To be eligible to be considered for the scholarship, an applicant must—
(a) be a domestic student;
(b) preference is to be given to an eligible Australian Indigenous person; with special encouragement for applications from the Thalanyji membership;
(c) have applied for a place in the Bachelor of Arts (Honours) majoring in Archaeology [HON-ARCGY];
(d) have completed 8 units in the major in 2023 or 10 units in the major from 2024 (2/4/4 core units and electives);
(e) have not yet completed study towards the Bachelor of Arts (Honours), excluding any units that count towards conversion credit.
- You are also required to submit a 300 word statement outlining how this scholarship will benefit your study and future success and demonstrate a specific interest in Australian archaeology and heritage.
Following application close, shortlisted candidates are likely to be interviewed in the week commencing 2 February 2026.
