Aboriginal Heritage Services Scholarship

COURSEWORK

Blaze Kwaymullina and Scott Chisholm have donated funds to The University of Western Australia ('the University') to provide a scholarship to encourage and assist high-achieving Indigenous Australian students, with a desire to pursue a career in cultural heritage, to commence an undergraduate degree course with a major in Anthropology, Archaeology, or Indigenous Knowledge.

Eligibility

(a) be a domestic student
(b) an Australian Indigenous person
(c) able to demonstrate an interest in a career in cultural heritage
(d) be a commencing student
(e) be enrolled, or eligible to enrol—
(i) full-time unless the selection body is satisfied that there are exceptional circumstances which preclude full-time enrolment; and
(ii) in an undergraduate degree course with a major in Anthropology, Archaeology, and Indigenous Knowledge.

Benefits

To encourage and assist high-achieving Indigenous Australian students, with a desire to pursue a career in cultural heritage, to commence an undergraduate degree course with a major in Anthropology, Archaeology, or Indigenous Knowledge.
Recipients may be offered the opportunity to receive paid work experience in the cultural heritage field.
