Singapore-Cambridge GCE A-Levels Examination
The Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education Advanced Level (GCE A-Level) is a widely recognised academic qualification that is taken by school and private candidates in Singapore.
The University of Western Australia welcomes applications from students who have completed the Singapore-Cambridge GCE A-Levels program. To be admitted to the University, you must:
- satisfy the University's English language competence requirement by satisfactory performance in one of the English subjects detailed in the table below
- achieve a sufficient number of Singapore-Cambridge GCE A-Level points to be offered a place
- satisfy any prerequisite subject requirements for your chosen course and major
Minimum entry scores
Singapore-Cambridge GCE A-Level students must meet equivalent entry standards to other applicants. The following table provides an overview of the GCE A-Level points required to gain admissions into the University.

Notes
- Points are assigned on the basis that:
- At a H2 level: A=5, B=4, C=3, D=2, E=1
- At a H1 level (content-based only): A=2.5, B=2.0, C=1.5, D=1.0, E=0.5
- A minimum of two H2 level subjects are required for assessment purposes
- There is no maximum limit to the number of H2 Level subjects used in the calculation of aggregate.
- A maximum of one content-based H1 subject can be used in the calculation of aggregate
- H2 Level and H1 Level in the same subject cannot be used together to calculate the aggregate
- General Paper (H1) and Project Work (H1) cannot be used in the calculation of aggregate
