The Power of Modern Marketing: How Brands Design the Journey to Checkout
In this engaging workshop, you’ll hear from leading UWA academic Dr Emma Joenpolvi from the UWA Business School as you trace the journey of a single customer purchase - from a fleeting social media post all the way to checkout.
Along the way, you’ll gain a real-world glimpse into the study of business and commerce, seeing how the knowledge and skills you build as a student translate into practice. You’ll explore how marketing operates across today’s modern, interconnected digital landscape, and how global brands influence the choices we make across the apps and platforms we use every day. Step behind the scenes to uncover how attention is captured, trust is built, and decisions are shaped — showing how a simple scroll can turn into a meaningful choice.
