Join us at the UWA School of Design Open Night and discover how design thinking can help tackle real world and global challenges. Experience our creative community first-hand and see where a design degree at UWA could take you.

As part of the evening, step into the 2026 Winter Collective, our end of semester showcase featuring inspiring student work from across Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Fine Arts, History of Art and Urban Design, across all levels of study.

You’ll have the chance to explore the exhibition, connect with our students and academics, and get a genuine feel for what it’s like to study design at UWA – from studio life to future careers.

At Open Night, you’ll be able to:

• Explore the dynamic and diverse work of our design students
• Connect with our nationally and internationally recognised academics
• Learn more about our courses and pathways into design
• Tour our creative home in the ALVA Building at UWA’s Nedlands campus
• Meet our vibrant School of Design community

3.45 pm | Check-in opens

4pm | Meet and network with academics and student clubs while exploring the dynamic work of our students

4.30 pm | Hear from our student exhibitors as they share the ideas behind their work

5pm | Take a self-guided tour of ALVA, join a guided workshop tour, or chat with our academics and students 

6pm | Join us for a presentation session to learn more about our Architecture, Landscape Architecture and Creative Arts courses (Fine Arts, History of Art, and Art History and Curatorial Studies) 

7pm | Evening concludes
