Fees and scholarships

Learn more about the fees and scholarships that could be applicable to you as an international student.

Tuition fees are based on the course of study, and fees increase annually. UWA offers a number of scholarships to international students to assist with the cost of study.

Payment

The course fee is payable as a lump sum, but can be paid in two instalments on a semester basis. The annual course fee is not payable on a proportionate basis.

Deadline

Semester fees are due to be paid by the first day of each semester and no later than the relevant teaching period census date in the year of enrolment.

A late fee will apply if tuition fees are not paid by the census date.

Undergraduate and postgraduate course fees

The Fee Calculator provides a list of tuition fees for undergraduate and postgraduate students.

New students should refer to their Acceptance of Offer Contract and once enrolled, their Statement of Account for tuition fees.

Continuing students should refer to their Statement of Accounts for tuition fees.

Student Services and Amenities Fee (SSAF)

A compulsory Student Services and Amenities Fee (SSAF) is payable for each year or part-year of your study. The fee is used to improve the quality and quantity of services to students. An electronic SSAF Statement of Account notification fee is sent to your UWA student email account each semester following your enrolment.

Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC)

The Department of Home Affairs requires all international students applying for a student visa to have Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) for the entire duration of their student visa. OSHC is offered by a number of providers. You may obtain OSHC from the provider of your choice.

UWA has a ‘preferred provider’ agreement with Medibank. On acceptance and payment of your offer, UWA will arrange health cover with Medibank for the duration of your student visa.
