EVENTS
Application Help Days
Come along to one of our Application Help Days on Sunday 17 and Monday 18 December.
Get all your questions answered on your application, an offer from UWA, our courses and more.
We'll be on hand to offer advice and support to help you figure out which path is right for you.
How to apply
Choose your course
Choosing what to study is a personal choice and we’d encourage you to select what interests you. You can choose to study a graduate certificate, graduate diploma or at a master's degree level.
When choosing your course, you should consider:
- The admission requirements, including any additional requirements such as admissions tests and interviews.
- Certain courses (such as medicine and other health courses) may also contain inherent requirements that you must meet during your course of study. These requirements will be listed on the course page where relevant.
- The fees and expenses you will incur when you study at UWA
- Some applications have earlier closing dates – these will be listed on the course page and below
When you’ve decided on what course you’d like to apply for, have the course name and code handy for your application. You can find this on the course page under course details.
Check entry requirements and important dates
To be eligible for entry into a postgraduate program at UWA, you will need to demonstrate that you:
- meet our English language requirements. Some courses may have additional higher English language requirements
- have studied or completed a recognised qualification to meet our academic requirements.
- meet any additional requirements for your course
You’ll find this information listed on the ‘admission requirements’ tab on each course page.
Prepare to apply
Supporting documentation
Make sure you have the following documentation ready before you start your application for UWA.
- a certified copy of your academic results
- a certified copy of your English test results (if available)
- proof of citizenship (e.g. passport). International students must provide a copy of their passport
- any additional documentation required for your chosen course
Finances
It’s important to have considered the fees and expenses you will incur when you study at UWA. Please ensure you have reviewed the tuition fees and any ancillary fees prior to applying.
If you are moving to Perth to study, you will also need to review the cost of living.
Apply online
Once you've selected your pathway, you can apply online. Application open and close dates apply to some courses.
- Create a profile in UWA Apply and log in to get started
- Select your course, entry pathway and upload supporting documents
- Save or submit your application
Domestic students applying for Graduate Entry Medicine must apply to GEMSAS.
If you are applying for a combined coursework and research professional psychology program, you will need to apply via the School of Graduate Research.
If you're an international student, you may wish to apply through an agent.
If additional information is required:
- Admissions will contact you if any additional information is needed to process your application. You can upload any additional documentation to your application via the applicant portal.
- If you have applied for a course that requires an interview, Admissions will contact you close to the interview period.
- If you have elected to be considered for any credit transfer, this will be reviewed by the Admissions team. This does not preclude you from applying for additional credit transfer after enrolment.
Information supplied to the University’s application system is collected and stored in line with the UWA Privacy Statement.
Accept your offer
You'll receive the outcome of your application via email. If your application is successful, details on how to accept your offer will be provided in your offer email.
Please note that all offers have an acceptance expiry date listed. If you do not accept by this date your offer will lapse.
Enrol
Exciting times ahead! Once you formally accept your offer you will be permitted to enrol in your course once the enrolment window opens. Any specific instructions on enrolment will be provided to you at this time.
