Our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Strategy
UWA's Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Strategy 2026-2029 provides a strategic roadmap to guide UWA on the journey to be a truly inclusive university through clearly defined strategic priorities.
UWA Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee
The DEI Committee oversees the strategy and is the senior advisory committee to the Vice-Chancellor on program initiatives and any matters of relevance to UWA staff and students. Its membership consists of senior leaders, subject specialists, and staff and students with lived experience.
The DEI Committee is Chaired by Professor Fiona McGaughey (she/ her), Pro Vice-Chancellor, Academic Advancement and Diversity.
The DEI Committee has representation from each of the University's DEI Advisory Groups: Cultural and Linguistic Diversity, Disability Access and Inclusion, Gender Equity, LGBTIQA+ and Student Equity and Participation. These groups comprise staff and students with relevant expertise and/or lived experience.
To contact any of the Advisory Groups, please email [email protected].
