Professor Jennifer Howell is the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Global Engagement) at The University of Western Australia, leading global engagement activities across the University. This includes offshore partnerships, developing and implementing global strategy, strategic global projects, student mobility and exchange and offshore advocacy activities for the University. Her previous role at UWA was Pro Vice-Chancellor (Global Engagement) and prior to this she has been Associate Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Education), Executive Dean, Learning and Teaching, Dean, Learning and Teaching (Faculty of Humanities) and Director, Student Experience and Community Engagement.
Professor Howell was a researcher in pre-service teacher education, pedagogy, online learning and digital technologies. She worked for many years in the areas of STEM, coding, robotics and digital technologies with school-aged children and teachers. In addition to her university leadership position, she is a Board Member for Trinity Residential College and a Member of the HCL Tech Industry Advisory Board.
