We encourage sustainable transport options like cycling, walking and public transport. If you choose to drive, here's what you need to know about parking and access on campus.
Parking on campus
It is the driver's responsibility to be legally parked when on campus.
- Paid parking hours: Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm (free outside these hours)
- Campus speed limit: 25km/h
- Parking rules: Park only in marked bays and ensure your parking session matches the zone.
- All our metropolitan campuses use the EasyPark app for paid parking.
Parking zones
- Yellow bays: Students and visitors
- Red bays: Staff
- White bays: Reserved (all hours)
- Green bays: Reserved for UWA clinics (Optometry, Sleep and Podiatry), Oral Health Centre, University Club members and Lawrence Wilson Art Gallery visitors. Locations:
- Car Park 4 – University Club Member Parking – Hackett Entrance 1
- Car Park 25 – UWA Aquatic Centre and UWA Exercise and Performance Centre Parking – Parkway Entrance 4
- Car Park 52 – Lawrence Wilson Art Gallery Parking – Fairway Entrance 1
- Car Park 81 – UWA Podiatry Patient Parking – Crawley Avenue entrance
- Car Park 100 – Oral Heath Centre Patient Parking – Monash Avenue entrance
- Pink bays: Loading bays - 30-minutes maximum
- Orange bays: Maintenance bays - authorised maintenance vehicles only
Using EasyPark
Start and stop your parking session using the EasyPark app.
- Make sure the zone selected in the app matches where you've parked (zone code is located on the EasyPark signs).
- Licence Plate Recognition (LPR) validates all parking sessions.

Staff parking
Staff must use EasyPark for parking in Red zones. Prepaid or annual permits are not available.

Student parking
Current UWA students can access discount parking rates and park in yellow bays using the EasyPark app, subject to eligibility.
Eligibility
Students must be enrolled in at least one current unit and live outside of the restricted postcode areas to qualify for student parking.
Not eligible
Students who are not currently enrolled or who live in a restricted postcode are not eligible for a student Pay As You Go (PAYG) parking account.

Students living in one of the postcodes below, or in the range 6214-6999, are NOT eligible for a student PAYG parking account:

Exemption form -
Visitor parking
Visitors can park in the Yellow or Green bays (Green bays are reserved for UWA clinics and gallery visitors).
Both Yellow and Green bays cost $3 per hour payable via the EasyPark app or parking machines. Visit the EasyPark parking page for further details.

Motorcycle parking
Motorcycle parking is free in designated areas. Motorcycles can not park in standard car bays. Refer to the parking map for motorcycle bay locations.

Accessible parking
Most UWA car parks have designated accessible parking bays for ACROD or UWA accessible permit holders.
- If the UWA accessible bays are full, ACROD or UWA accessible permit holders can also park in Red or Yellow bays without payment.
- Payment of $3 per hour applies in the Green bays.
- Always display your valid ACROD or UWA accessible permit when parking on campus.

Contractors and non-uwa staff parking
Contractors or staff from a non-UWA business based at our metro campuses may qualify for PAYG parking in Red bays using the EasyPark app.
Other cases
For other special parking applications or exemptions not covered by these guidelines, requests are considered on a case-by-case basis. Additional charges may apply.
Application process
- Complete the application via the portal.
- UniPark will confirm the status of your request within 1-2 business days.
- You will receive a confirmation email when your UWA PAYG account is ready for use.

Event bus parking
If planning an event and bringing buses to campus, here’s what you need to know.
- Event organisers should provide specific arrival and departure times for buses via our portal: Event Bus Parking
- Buses should enter the University from Winthrop Avenue, turn left, and follow the ring road to the marked bus parking sign (east of the tennis courts)
- Buses must not enter car parks, park on verges or park across multiple bays
- After dropping off passengers, buses are required to leave the site promptly

Electric vehicle (EV) charging bays
EV charging stations are available at the Crawley campus for staff, students and visitors to charge their vehicles.
- Low-charging EV stations: 4-hour limit applies
- Fast-charging EV stations: 30-minute limit applies

Inner campus access and deliveries
Inner campus roads in the Crawley campus are pedestrian and cyclist zones. Vehicle access is restricted within this area.
Within our car parks, Pink (loading) bays are designated for the delivery/collection for commercial vehicles servicing the UWA campus, with a 30-minute limit.
