Getting to UWA

Public transport

Buses to the Perth campus are frequent with regular services from the city, Subiaco, Morley and along Stirling Highway. Buses are managed by Transperth and some services are subsidised by the University.

Buses to UWA regularly pass through the following areas:

  • Suburbs on Transperth's Circle Route (998, 999) which travels from Fremantle along Stirling Highway and to suburbs north of UWA
  • Subiaco, Perth, Northbridge, Morley, Bedford, Inglewood, Mount Lawley and western suburbs

  • Save more than $1000 a year in fuel, maintenance and parking fees 

Driving and parking

If driving to UWA is your only option, take note that the speed limit on campus is 25km/hr and consider carpooling with other students in your area. 

Parking is free of charge from 5pm onwards and is available on campus and in surrounding car parks around the University.

Please refer to the UWA parking map for parking options. We also recommend you look to use the Nedlands Campus (car park 31 and 42 should you not be able to find parking on the main campus. The main campus is just a short walk away from the Nedlands Campus via the Stirling Hwy underpass.

Cycling by bike

Cycling is ideal if you live within 15km of campus. It's also a great way to stay in shape and improve your mental health. By cycling, you get your exercise while travelling to campus and arrive alert and energised. The time difference between cycling and driving is minimal and you'll avoid the cost and hassle of parking.

Walking to UWA

If you live within 2km of the University, why not consider walking to campus. Walking keeps your body active and in shape. It also clears your mind and promotes a positive outlook.
