Your Orientation is personalised to suit your individual needs as a student. It is essential to attend as it will help you in being more familiarised with the campus, give you the chance to meet with other students and staff. 
O-Week is held on 19-23 February 2024 (Semester 1) and 15-19 July 2024 (Semester 2).

Note: For courses that commence in January or early February, you will be emailed directly to your UWA student email by staff with your personalised orientation schedule. Including students commencing their studies in; Medicine, Dentistry, Optometry, Pharmacy, Social Work, Law and Master of Business Administration (MBA).

Albany Campus O-Day Semester 1 - Wednesday 21 February 10am-1pm. If you are a commencing Albany based student starting your studies at the beginning of 2024, you must attend the orientation session. You will receive an official welcome to the campus by the Director and UWA Guild, campus tour, morning tea, introductions to student life, access and campus card set-up and a Q&A session.

Join our UWA International Student Support team to receive tips and advice related to you as a new to UWA international student. We encourage you attend one session prior to your arrival in WA. Enrolment and Timetable Support (all students) (in-person at the Perth, Crawley Campus)

Visit Student Central, Perth Crawley Campus to receive personalised tips and advice from a UniMentor (current UWA student) to help you with navigating the UWA systems, guidance for you as a new to UWA student.

Welcome ceremony; Friday 23 February

The Welcome Ceremony will be held for all commencing students on the morning of Friday 23 February at Winthrop Hall, UWA Crawley Campus.

Session 1: 10am-11.30am

Session 2: 11.30am-12.30pm

The ceremony provides a formal welcome to the University by a dignitary and the UWA Guild President. Students also receive a Noongar Welcome to Country.

No registration required.

Tuesday 20 Feb 9am-2pm: Undergraduate Arts and Law (at Octagon LT), Design and Education (at ALYA Couryard, Design Campus), Business School (at Business School Building)

Wednesday 21 Feb 9am-2pm: Undergraduate Schools of Science (at Prescott Court), Health Sciences (at Patricia Crawford Court), Engineering, Physics, Mathematics and Computing (at grass area outside EZONE).

Thursday 22 Feb 4pm-8.30pm: All postgraduate students

Winthrop Hall

The Hall is one of the Hackett Memorial Buildings funded by a bequest from the first Chancellor of the University, Sir John Winthrop Hackett.
