Admission requirements

To be considered for admission to this course an applicant must have—

(a)(i) a bachelor's degree in pharmacy, or an equivalent qualification, as recognised by UWA; or

(ii) a master's degree in pharmacy, or an equivalent qualification, as recognised by UWA

and

(b) general registration with the Pharmacy Board of Australia

English competency

English is the language of instruction and assessment at UWA and you will need to meet the English language requirements of the University to be eligible for a place.

Minimum overall IELTS score of 6.5, with no band less than 6.0.

The Doctor of Pharmacy Practice is ideal for registered pharmacists to expand their opportunities for career advancement.

About the course

Australia’s only Doctor for Pharmacy Practice for currently registered pharmacists to convert their qualification to a Doctor of Pharmacy. It will allow the existing pharmacy workforce with an avenue to achieve the "doctor" title while also upskilling in key areas of the workforce. Students must undertake all core units. There are no electives.
