Karen (Miles) Field has donated funds to provide the Centenary Trust for Women Miles Family Scholarship in Physical Science in the name of her family which has a long record of residence in regional and remote Australia. The scholarship reflects both her concern for regional and remote-based families who incur considerable additional costs to educate their children, and her continuing interest in encouraging young women into specific physical science majors. Karen Field served on the Centenary Trust for Women Board.

Eligibility
(a) be a domestic student
(b) be female
(c) be experiencing educational disadvantage
(d) be from a regional or remote area of Western Australia
(e) be enrolled
(i) full-time
(ii) a degree-specific major in Engineering Science, Geology, Chemistry, or Physics; and
(f) have completed at least 48 points towards a Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Philosophy (Honours) degree course.
