Reflecting on my master's degree at UWA, I found immense value in how the course units complemented each other, creating a well-rounded professional foundation focused on fostering healthy work environments. The knowledge I gained in work design, health and safety, people analytics, and organisational change, amongst other units, allows me to adopt a holistic approach, driving decisions based on scientific practice. Completing this program has opened doors for professional growth and networking and facilitated meaningful conversations with experienced professionals. I highly recommend this master's program, led by Dr Lisette Kanse, for its outstanding content, continuous support, and practical assignments that prepared me to tackle real-world challenges in a safe learning environment. A standout moment for me was engaging with the inspiring panel of guest speakers in the health and safety class, further motivating my journey in this vital sector. UWA has been a pivotal part of my academic and professional journey, providing a supportive community that continues to nurture my development even after graduation.

The Master of Business Psychology course has significantly shaped my career by covering key topics. The diverse curriculum sparked my passion for Work Health and Safety, which I’ve applied in roles such as HSEQ Advisor and Health and Safety Consultant.

The course deepened my understanding of leadership, team dynamics, human factors, and occupational health and safety, all of which have become central to my career development. Ultimately, the program has laid the foundation for a rewarding and impactful career.

I thoroughly enjoyed UWA's Master of Business Psychology (MBP) program because of its diversity of core and elective unit offerings and the scientific and research oriented method of teaching. The faculty was experienced, eager to help and made learning enjoyable. The depth of diverse knowledge gained has continuously helped in my occupational setting and given me growth leverage in this competitive market because of my niche skills. The structure of study is well developed and balanced with plenty of team projects and work based learning opportunities to help prepare students for future work life. If someone is considering MBP, and has genuine love for learning, go for it!
