50th reunions

Convocation organised these 50th Anniversary Reunion Luncheons between 1985 and 2022. Guests were graduates from all faculties, and brought together a wonderful mix of personalities and life experiences.

With the rapid growth of student numbers at the university from the early 1970s, reunions for very large annual cohorts from all faculties became less popular. Graduates now retained a stronger sense of connection with their discipline, school or individual faculty cohorts. When requested, Development and Alumni Relations with Convocation now assists disciplines and schools to host their own reunions.

	2013 Reunion for 1963 Graduates Beautiful decorations, old exam papers provided as place mats, 1960s memorabilia and background music, as well as Barbara Streisand's hit song "The Way We Were" all helped set the scene for the 50th reunion. View the album 1963 reunion booklet
