2026 Australian of the Year Award Nominations

The Australian of the Year Awards celebrate extraordinary Australians who make a profound impact on lives, communities and society. Their challenges and triumphs, often reaching beyond professional achievements, reflect each recipient’s unique life journey.

Nominations are now open for the 2026 Australian of the Year Awards. There are four categories — Australian of the Year, Senior Australian of the Year, Young Australian of the Year, and Australia's Local Hero.

Nominations are also open for the 2026 WA Community Citizen of the Year Awards to acknowledge those making an outstanding contribution to their local community.
