Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Policy
UWA’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Policy addresses key areas such as sustainability reporting, operations, sustainable procurement, investments, and modern slavery. The Policy reflects the University’s commitment to responsible governance and ethical practices.
Office of Sustainability
At UWA, sustainability is considered the responsibility of all and embedded within all areas of the University. The Office of Sustainability is a coordinating function responsible for reporting on sustainability activities and achievements across the University.
The Office facilitates and elevates the sustainability agenda.
It sits within the Office of the Chief Financial Officer, with the CFO as the Executive sponsor.
Sustainable Campus Dashboard
The Sustainable Campus Dashboard provides transparent, accessible reporting on UWA’s environmental performance. It tracks key indicators such as emissions, energy, water, waste, and biodiversity, helping the University and its stakeholders monitor progress towards its sustainability goals.
STARS Sustainability Rating
UWA has been awarded a STARS Silver rating by the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE), recognising the University’s performance across sustainability in teaching, research, operations, governance, and engagement. STARS (Sustainability Tracking, Assessment and Rating System) is a globally recognised, transparent framework used by universities worldwide to measure and benchmark sustainability performance.
