CCWA: Student-led exhibition
16 October - 5 December 2026
In 2026, Lawrence Wilson Art Gallery will partner with UWA School of Design to facilitate a two-semester placement with students enrolled in the Art History and Curatorial Studies Honours degree, culminating in an exhibition drawing from the Cruthers Collection of Women’s Art, with associated engagement programming.
Under the mentorship of CCWA Curator Lee Kinsella and Honours Coordinator Dr Susanne Meurer, approximately four students will be supported to research, develop, design and deliver a collaborative exhibition to be presented in the Lady Sheila Cruthers in Season 3 2006. Students will be guided through gallery systems and processes leading to the realisation of the exhibition and opportunities to engage with audiences.
This is a unique industry training opportunity that builds on the relationship between UWA’s Lawrence Wilson Art Gallery and the School of Design, and to widen access to the rich holdings of the Cruthers Collection of Women’s Art.
