Care and conversation:
a stitching workshop with Michele Elliot

As part of Held: On care and collections, artist-curator Michele Elliot will facilitate an online stitching workshop using simple design and sewing techniques.

Michele will guide you through the making of a small artwork that relates to ideas of care, connection and memory.

All levels of experience are welcome.

Materials:

Please have ready:

• A pencil, paper for drawing/tracing, notebook
• stranded embroidery cotton, 1 or 2 skeins
• needles for sewing
• plain coloured fabric, approx. 30 x 30 cm
• fabric transfer pen or pencil
• scissors
• optional: embroidery hoop
