The Art of Composition

Friday 23 October, 6.30pm-7.30pm

Visual and sonic art overlap in this special evening premiering new works by UWA Conservatorium of Music students.

Using artworks in the current exhibitions HERE&NOW20: Perfectly Queer, Drew Pettifer: A Sorrowful Act and (Un)ladylike Acts at the Lawrence Wilson Art Gallery as inspiration, the program features a series of new, short pieces by 11 composers followed by a Q&A.

The Art of Composition is organised by UWA students Victor Arul and Naoko Uemoto in collaboration with the Lawrence Wilson Art Gallery Student Advisory Committee, the Conservatorium of Music and the Music Students Society.

Please note: in keeping with the University's guidelines, space is limited for this event and registration is required. Hand sanitiser will be available at the door and we ask that visitors observe social distancing during the evening. If you are feeling unwell or no longer able to attend, please cancel your booking to open up space for others.
