Conversation — curating and creating KANANGOOR/Shimmer

In co-curating this exhibition, Amanda Bell and Lee Kinsella offer opportunities for visitors to be guided through the Gallery by sound and light. Rickeeta Walley’s song emanates beyond the Gallery to invite people into the space. On entering, audiences are oriented in the stories from peoples of the Noongar nations on the banks of the Derbal Yerrigan. Visitors can then encounter resonant objects, videos and environments that speak of the many stories and histories that intersect on this site in Crawley, on the UWA campus. Come along to join in the discussion with artists and curators about the shimmering landscapes in this exhibition.
