Conversation: What relationships sustain artists and collectors?

Saturday 6 August, 2pm - 3pm

Join three members of the Friends of the Lawrence Wilson Art Gallery, Catherine McCloy, Ann Evans and Antonia Naarstig, as they share stories about their commitment to art as supporters, practitioners, educators and collectors.

All supporters of the Lawrence Wilson Art Gallery, their stories reveal the scope of enmeshment of personal relationships and connections that are a pattern for many women in art.

Hear about the networks that sustain them, along with the range of relationships and challenges that women negotiate to become practising artists.

Antonia Naarstig is a practicing artist and lecturer in Arts Education, Ann Evans has had a career as a music teacher and has continuing involvement with visual art and Catherine Mc Cloy, who has been Secretary and Treasurer of the Friends of the Lawrence Wilson Art Gallery for over ten years, has a collection that reveals a long - term commitment and interest in visual art.
