The Centre for Water and Spatial Science (CWSS) is a research centre at the University of Western Australia that brings together a diverse community of scholars and professionals. Our team comprises of tenured academics, researchers, postgraduate students, visiting research students, master’s students, and technical and professional staff from multiple Schools within the University.

We apply interdisciplinary expertise to robust field, process, and data science knowledge-building. Our innovative research, collaboration, and stakeholder partnerships drive tangible outcomes for complex environmental challenges including climate change, land and water management, and sustainable development.
Our vision
We are committed to being leaders in water and spatial research to understand the dynamic and evolving relationships between ecosystems, people, and to support sustainable management solutions to environmental problems.
